There are times ...

... when something happens that make you feel, briefly, like all your work with your kids is really worth it.  Like maybe some of what you've been telling them since they fell out of the crib has actually sunk in - they listened.  Actually listened.

#3 Son worked yesterday.  He has a job he sought and found on his own.  He has a degree now, from college and he's working in the field of "education".  Not as a school teacher, mind you, but similar.  Anyway, his degree is in Computer Science and his job involves Math - related fields, I suppose, but the fact he has his degree got him his job, I'm sure.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of my Aspie boy.  Man, really - he's not a boy anymore.  But I AM so proud.   Proud that he went out and applied for this job on his own.  Proud that he interviewed on his own.  Proud that he impressed the owner of the business he now works for so much that he was hired two months before his Boss had really intended to hire anyone.

I am so proud.  My Son.
