It looks from here like there'll actually be an NBA season. 66 games. 16 games lost to greed, avarice and selfishness. Millionaires fighting with millionaires over the money that you and I pay at the gate, at the concession stand, and at the sports store for "official" gear. Oh. And the TV revenue - which contributes an enormous share of each team's overall revenue.

I wonder what all the people in the NBA would do if they actually had to get a job and work for a living instead of playing a game. I mean - I know they've managed to take a 'game' and make it 'work' - but dig a ditch? Operate a punch press? Grow a computer network from scratch? Yeah. Right.

Yesterday was "Small Business Saturday". Did you patronize a small business? I hope so. I did.

It's officially Holiday Season now. Button up your overcoat, buttercup. It's gonna get cold out there.

I did shop at a small business yesterday. A little antique shop I've wanted to stop at for a long time.

No money to shop so no 'small business' to make...

With sports we get to see what goes on in the world and lives of the 1%... the actions and machinations that take place before are eyes with labor negotiations, behaviour, and other malfeasance is what happens in the world of high finance...

Instead of condemning the players... even though in basketball, they have long had the owners at their mercy, I think a deeper analysis should be made on why we have such a definite reaction when it is about the finances of athletes when the very rich live in the same kind of world and we allow them free reign over nearly everything that matters...

...hey, I am jus' sayin'...
