Wordless Wednesday - Haboob

While on Vacation in Scottsdale, AZ

This strange bit of weather, an Haboob (duststorm)
(Gosh, I love that word, HaBOOB),
rolled in only to be broken up by a seasonal thunderstorm.
It's monsoon season.

Sounds like you were off the Arabian Sea or something..!

Deep within your sweet, sweet heart lurks a 14 year old boy. Never change.

Occasionally the mountains around Tucson would disappear behind dust. So very strange.

I love monsoon season in the desert. That smell of hot rock as the rains head your way, the insane downpour and huge thunder. So very awesome, in the real sense of the word.

Also...thanks for the comment about Flowers for Algernon. It sounds very interesting, and I will also try to find the movie. Hopefully it's on Netflix.
