What to do, 2?

The weird title is because I posted this, accidently, two hours and 10 minutes before I was supposed to. So I deleted it and reposted it. Kind of answers my own question - which you'll understand as you read on.

It's not that I'm out of pictures of Ireland, because I'm not. And it's not that I don't have more of the current story ready, because I do. But I just figured I'd do something different. But I don't know what. Have you ever done that? Have you ever wanted to do a 'different' post than the usual run of the mill? What did YOU do?

Because I haven't got a clue.

Ndinombethe.

I look at my wine-stained, drunken scribbles of post ideas from talking to Warrior Woman is what I do.

I just go with whatever is in my head right at that moment :)

Neurotic, over the top worried mother posts are about the best I can come up with at the moment....

Write whatever you like Lou!

Look out your window and tell us what you see!

Shadow: I can't. I'm addicted. I'd go through withdrawals.

Witchypoo: That's not fair, really. Warriorwoman has to be a gold mine.

Myst_72: That's just it. ???????

Ree: Given that for the most part my posts are written about 10pm or so, there's nothing to see out the window.

Lou, thanks for joining me and sending the interview print out to The White House. It would certainly be great if you could get some of your readers to take the time and $1.15 postage and join us in sending a copy of the Moyer- William K. Black interview too.

How is that for something different?

Tell us some random, quirky things about yourself.

Quirky stuff, yeah!!! I'm all for it!!

I definitely get it. I may skip posting that day, or I'll just write a piece on whatever is on my mind. Which doesn't sound all that out of the ordinary when you read my blog, but it is when I had something else in mind to post :) Sorry, that really didn't make much sense.

I don't know.
Do I have a line?

I guess I dig through my archives, post a Baby pic or whatnot.
I don't know.

Or I come up with a challenge of sorts :).

Lou, if I wanted to stray from the ordinary, I'd post a picture of my bewbs. hahaha!! Just kidding. I never stray from the same drivel.

I just kind of stopped posting when I wanted to do something different, but I hope you don't. :) Share a recipe for your most favorite dish that Annie makes, maybe?

These days I can't even come up with anything the SAME, much less original.

Tips on packing to move to a foreign country with three children during a recession?

Sorry, I'vem got nothing. Which also explains why I haven't posted lately. :(

Whenever I want to post something different, but I can't think of anything, I just skip a day or two. But, being what my father calls "classic female," I really never run out of things to say lol!

Thank you so much for your encouraging comment, by the way =) It's nice to run into people whose children are grown and who enjoyed them the whole way through.

I find chocolate helps. And wine. Or brandy.

Not necessarily in that order.

You could hold off the post for another time. Or invite someone to guest post!

I have and I just posted it. It was about my kid making my yell my freakin' head off one day.

It's hard, though, to want to post but feel you can't.

Happens to me all the time, so I skip days sometimes. And I skip them when I'm just too busy, of course.

I do that all the time. I have one plan and end up rewriting when I go to post. 'What suits the mood' is always my mode of attack.

For me- Although mine is an art blog, I didn't want to just talk about paintings. And, it occured to me, not a whole lot of people would want to endure details of the methods I go through creating my paintings. So- I decided to create little stories around my work. It's a lot of fun and basically suits whatever the 'mood' is.

Moneythoughts: What I WILL do is send them to your post on Thursday - they can make up their own mind as to what to do.

Employee: Random, maybe, but quirky? That could be TMI.

Jientje: Hmmm. that's two votes for quirky.

Momisodes: It made perfect sense to me.

NicoleB: I need to take more photos.

Hyphen Mama: Just my luck. Another woman who won't stray.

Maggie's Mind: I won't. I can't. I'm addicted.

Nan: Actually, you'd have to ask SWMBO. SHE does all the packing in this family.

Joyce-Anne: Ah, but when you DO post ....

Sarah: For the most part, yes, we enjoyed them all the way through.

Mrs F with 4: Actually, I prefer an aged Rum.

HollyATOM: I did. You're it!

Secret Agent Mama: Yeah. It is.

Loraine: But I can't - or won't - skip. That's not me.

Redchair: You'd be surprised how many people would be interested in your Art process.

Jientje said...

So happy to learn that you don't want to skip, even on a bad or uninspired day!

Oh NO! Something on which we actually disagree.... rum is one of only two forms of alcohol I cannot abide. Whiskey, though, that would be another matter altogether.
