Yesterday, I gave up ...

I do not understand.  Is this a portent of things to come?  Is this a sign?  Or an abberation.

This CUBS team, in a 3 game set over the weekend, managed but 4 runs.  Total.  Against the Braves - a really good team.

Last night they played another really good team - the Cardinals.  They scored 4 runs in the first inning.  By the end of the game, they had scored 17.  SEVENTEEN RUNS.  TWENTY HITS.

Yesterday I gave up.  Yesterday, I was ready to throw in the towel and just ignore the CUBS for the rest of the year.

Now, I can't.  Last night ... was it a sign?

Are the real CUBS gonna play ball, now?  Before I die?
