Monday Meanders

Cubs lost. Bears lost, Blackhawks won.  Yay, Blackhawks.

Now, on to better stuff.  I am meandering around the country.  Since last Friday morning, I have driven to Buffalo, NY and stayed the night, and from there drove to Lenox, MA and spent the next night there with Patti Maxwell and her husband Mr. Bill Walker.  Yesterday I drove from Lenox, MA to Carver, Ma, and there attended King Richard's Faire, and from there drove to East Greenwich, RI, where I'm going to spend the rest of the week.

Tomorrow I plan to drive up to Boston to lunch with Miss Maggie Moo, taking my hostess with me.

While in Lenox, MA (and because I drive like a fool and got to town soon enough to poke around with Bill and Patti), we went to Hancock Shaker Village, one of the two original Shaker Societies in the U.S.  The Shakers died out, finally, in the mid 20th Century - they didn't believe in sex and believed they would be able to continue in existence through converts and bringing in orphans.  Didn't work.

I took some pictures while at the village - these two are the first I will publish:

The entrance to the round barn.  I have other shots involving the round barn I will publish soon.

The above caught my eye - I have some special processing planned for this shot.  At this point all I have done is remove color and enhance contrast a little.

Tomorrow - shots I took at King Richard's Faire in Carver, Ma.

I am wandering all week.  But I will blog it all.
