Monday Meanders

I attended a get together on Saturday evening where certain members of the "Listen To Your Mother" casts from the last two years were present.  We met at "Potter's Place" - a Mexican themed restaurant in Naperville, IL.

A good time was has by all.  I will publish some pictures tomorrow.

Phil Mickelson won "The Open Championship" played at Muirfield, in Scotland.  At the beginning of play, yesterday, he wasn't on anyone's radar as a potential winner.  He was 5 shots off the lead.  But win, he did.  Well done.

The Cubs lost 2 out of 3 to the Rockies.  Way to stat the second half, Cubbies.

The U.S. National Soccer team is riding a nine game winning streak, the longest in team history.  They've won 3 World Cup qualifiers, 4 Concacaf Gold Cup games and 2 Friendlies.  Landon Donavon is amazing.  Yesterday they demolished the Salvadorian team 5-1 in a quarter final Gold Cup game.  Their next game will be in the Concacaf Semi Finals on Wednesday.

As much as I enjoy drawing and painting, I really enjoy photography.  My Canon 60D is the best camera I have ever owned and it lets me do things no film camera ever did.

WE watched the USA and Honduras game yesterday. I still think their uniforms make it look like we fielded a team of Where's Waldos.
