ATCs

There's a group to which I belong, on Facebook, that has to do with Art.  I won some ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) in a random giveaway from the group.  Twenty paper, and five board.  Now these ATCs are roughly the same size as Baseball Trading Cards, which I'm sure most of us have seen at one time or another, but they are blank.  I, as the Artist, am responsible for making the blank cards into MY trading card.

I'm trying to figure out just how to do that - there is, for example, a little boat I have made several paintings of which might make for a distinctive Card.  Or I could do an abstract.  Or a flower or multiple flowers or an animal.  Or a portrait.

Anyway.

I have been toying with the idea of painting miniatures for some time now.  I actually have a number of 4x4 and 6x6 canvases that I thought I might experiment with, but the ATCs are an idea I hadn't any thought of before now.  That said, I also had no idea they even existed until a couple of months ago, but doing a Google search on "ATC" turns up information that says, essentially, they've been around a LOOOOOOONG time.  One artist professes to have been making ATCs for thirty years.

So, when I finally get my first one done, I'll post a picture here.  'K?

Ndinombethe.
