Some of you may remember The Artist Challenge and The Inferno, two enterprises - one for Visual Arts, like painting, and the other for the written word, and both would respond to a challenge theme. The same theme for each.
Not to get involved in a long recap of my relationship with these two sites - just suffice it to say that the founder and driving force behind these sites, Vikki North passed away on the last day of January, this year, and it was a shock to all of us who knew her.
Those two endeavors live on, however, in the capable and loving hands of Rusty Harden, a woman who is an excellent artist and teacher in her own right.
The current challenge is to interpret a famous painting. I am going to take a shot at "Vincent's Bedroom in Arles" - preparations will begin immediately.
I also have an idea for "Sun Art" - which can sometimes show up on "CBS Sunday Morning". If you're lucky - and if it's good, that is. I'm gonna try.

My condolences to the North family as well as her friends.
As far as 'luck' I don't think that has as much to do with the painting as talent does... and you have plenty of that!!
I'm sorry to read of Vikki's passing.
Can't wait to see what you come up with for the challenges!
I'm looking forward to reading your art and seeing more of it too.
I love Sunday Morning, and watch it each week.
