There's a reason ...

... you shouldn't drive through puddles of standing water in the road ... or at the end of a driveway ... or along the curb.  LM(Love Muffin) did that, today, and it was a grumpy woman that greeted me on the phone when I called her to see how her day was going.  She was waiting for the service truck to arrive to fix the flat.  Later, she called, still grumpy, as she sat at Discount Tire waiting for the tire to be replaced ... and, of course, they couldn't replace just one.  She was not a happy camper.

Do not run through standing water after a rain if you can help it.  You can't see what has washed into the puddle - and it IS a puddle because it's a low point in the road - so the water will have washed things there from elsewhere on the road - things like nails and glass and other stuff your tire may not like.

Be careful out there.

Oh dear. Yeah, there are a lot of things that exist in puddles that shouldn't be splashed on you...

Glad she didn't have to change a flat on her own, in the rain.
