LTYM is less than two weeks away. There are giveaway contests on Melisa's site and Tracey's site and each of them have two tickets they're giving away and it all ends tomorrow night. Tuesday. So you know.
I learned a lesson, yesterday. Lesson having been learned, I did NOT ride my scooter to work this morning, given the 36 degree temperature when I woke up.
I think they should make scooter with heated seats. Then I would have rode.
The Cubs traded Marlon Byrd. I know he was struggling, and I know the Red Sox needed a center fielder, and I know they actually sent us a reliever who might just be worth his salt, but Marlon was the hardest working, most professional guy on the club and he set an example for the young kids that will be VERY hard to replace. He plays baseball the way it's supposed to be done - and he will be missed.
Given the route I'm going to ride in the morning, say a little prayer there are no randy deer running about, crossing the road, and stuff. My biggest fear is an early morning encounter with Bambi's mother. In the road. At 40 MPH.
#2 Son, who was injured in an automobile accident a few years ago (he was rear-ended), may finally be able to take steps to have the undiagnosed back injuries assessed, and taken care of. I have felt so bad for so long about his bad back. Not that I could have prevented it - it's just that I'm his dad and he's my son, and I hate to see him in pain I can't fix - that there's been no way for me to help. I can't stand to see my boys hurting.

Bambi's mother died in the movie so you're safe ;)
I remember when my daughter was in her car accident. It was heartbreaking to see her in pain and there was nothing I could do to make it better.
I hope your son gets the reassessment and can get the help he needs.
I feel your pain about your son. And I feel it very personally right now.
