Haiku Friday, Photo365, Day 48

First, we bring you Haiku Friday - with its own Linky Tool so you can link in your Haiku.

Haiku Friday

colored by light's refraction,
Thus, the butterfly.

Most people don't know that some butterflies have no pigment in their wings, their wings are, in fact, colored by light refraction in nanostructures on the scales of the wings.

What?!? That is WEIRD. And kinda sad. Poor, colorless butterflies, just pretending to be colorful and vibrant.

The transparent butterfly is beautiful.

Really? Would a butterfly be colorless in the dark? Oh, I hope not.
