Yesterday, lovely day that it was, turned out to be a great day to explore along the I&M Canal, starting at the State Park in Channahon, IL.
There was Corrine (pronounce 'kor IN' as she will unabashedly point out)
And there was Evan, who really enjoyed the ride
And then there was Tracey, mother of these two great kids ...
At one point, Evan and I did get rather far ahead. Poor Corrine was on a very small bike, and she had to pedal like crazy to keep up. So we slowed down and waited. More than once. But, no complaints.
It was a great day to ride - and it was my first time along the I&M Canal. Now that I'm a little familiar with where it is and where to park, and where the nearest ... well anyway, the point is I've been there and now I can go back. After all, you can't go back to somewhere you've never been. Right?

Props to Evan for waiting for 'kor-IN' when she fell behind.
That sounds like an aphorism waiting to be fleshed out... once you have been there you can always go back... I will have to ponder that one for a bit..!
What a lovely path for a ride. How nice to befriend children and their mother along the way.
The canal path looks like a lovely place for a ride.
Nice place to ride. I'm glad you had your camera with you.
