Crap. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap and did I say CRAP?
Last night I was riding my bicycle, Roscoe. I was COOKIN'. I was about 2 miles into the ride when, all of a sudden I felt something rubbing, Roscoe slowed down and then there was a sharp POP as the rear tire blew.
CRAP.
It seems, upon close inspection, that the previous owner damaged the bead of the tire when affecting a repair, and it became a weak spot. The new inner tube I installed yesterday decided to poke through the sidewall at that weak spot in the bead. That was what I heard rubbing - and it went POP before I figured out what was going on. Of course, I figured all this out AFTER.
Now I need a new tire. I have another tube, and today I'll go out during lunch and buy a new tire. Tonight I'll install the tire, and the tube, inflate them, and ride.
Hopefully, this time I won't be walkin' Roscoe home.

Walking is good exercise too, but that's not what you set out to do, wasn't it?
oops! i meant to say ...so sorry to hear that.
Ackkk! My greatest fear while riding is having a flat. Hope you and Roscoe on back on the road soon.
oh geez!
careful!!
at least you're not damaged from the blow out!
Oops.
Love the title!
I have luck like that. :( Hope tonight's ride goes better. :)
