Oh boy. Yesterday was a pooper, fer sure.
Luscious died. I took her to the Apple Hospital and discovered that the graphics subsystem went tits up (that has to be my favorite Britishism of all time - I couldn't pass up the chance to use it). Apple is going to fix it and NVidia is going to pay for it.
It seems many, many Macs using the NVidia chipset have died similar deaths. And NVidia have agreed to foot the bill to bring the ailing Macs back to life. I get her back on Monday.
I have this ancient Dell laptop (that I'm using at the moment) and believe me when I tell you that using the Dell is NOTHING like making love to Luscious.
I haven't seen emails on a computer all evening (I was at the Apple Computer Store, hainging out at the Genius Bar, waiting for MY chance to interact with an Apple Technician). And composing this post is ..... painful.
Pray for my sanity.

Gah, that hurts my heart!
I will be looking for occasions to use that Britishism as often as possible. I'm keeping good thoughts for Luscious. I hope you are reunited soon.
