What I'm doing with Sarah ...

I have decided to make a concentrated effort to finish the book. I'm close to the end. There's just a few things that remain to be done and I am making a run at getting everything done - and quickly.

I'm not going to publish her here, again, until I am done.

The reason is that I need some flexibility going forward. I need to be able to go back and rewrite, edit and changes things - once things are published, they don't change. Oh they may be edited in rewrite if an editor ever gets hold of all this, but the events - the sequence of events - won't change. So I need maximum flexibility between now and the time I write "The End" to this, so that continuity is maintained all the way to the end.

I hope you understand - I hope you'll be patient with me.

I think that's a good idea. I find when I'm painting or writing, sometimes it helps to really surge forward and get as much done as possible... 'Finish' it, but it doesn't have to be perfect. Then, put it aside for TWO DAYS. Don't look at it. Go for a walk.

Then, come back to it when you have lots of uninterrupted time again, and look at it with new eyes. You will see mistakes and problems that you missed before, and you can fix them. Repeat as necessary!

Every artist has a different 'Finishing' method, try a few and see what works!

Go for it! Must be exciting to have the end in sight. But then you must share.

I have truly enjoyed reading Sarah's story and can wait to know her fate.

Sure I get it it. Make sure all the plot threads are neatly tied together and smoothed out. Will be looking forward to the finish and I hope this makes it to a movie starring Angelina Jolie as 'Sarah'!
