Tiw's Day, two days before Thor's Day

A couple of things:

First: The study of Martial Arts breeds, among other things, in the young, respect, honesty, loyalty, and a feeling of confidence and self worth. My friend Dawn Royer, of Dawn Royer Photography, has a young man who is studying martial arts and his Sensei is up for a vote on the web. Go here and vote for Master Kyung Sik Mun.

Most of you don't know that I studied Martial Arts long enough to be one test away from my Brown Belt in Ryukyu Kempo, a form of Karate. I know and understand the things that the study of Martial Arts can bring to a young person, and I am happy to say that Dawn's young man has benefited greatly from what he has learned. It is for this reason I ask you to vote for Master Mun.

Second: I know that there are many more skilled writers out there than I could ever count and most of you know I participate in the 100 Word Challenge when it is posted. Well, there is a new challenge out there (well, new to ME, anyway) which has drawn my attention, and I thought there might be a chance that more than me might be interested.

It's called The 10th Daughter of Memory, because sometimes Nine Muses are not enough. Twice a month challenges are issued, and responded to, and voted on and it's all an effort to improve as writers. Check it out.

Today is the first day of Winter, and if we were pagan Romans we would be celebrating Saturnalia, by now, getting all drunk and debauched and stuff. Ah, debauchery. Do they still do that?

Ndinombethe.

Thank you so much for helping my son's TaeKwonDo Master Mun in a contest! He has helped my son so much from his physical fitness all the way to his self worth! He has so much more confidence in himself. Having him to deal with ADHD/anxiety is hard on him even at the age of 7! Master Mun has helped him strive to achieve more! I know it's great when my son wants to honor(his words) :) his neighbor and shovel his driveway to show that he respect him and wants to help out. Hugs to you!!

I voted :)

And thanks for the writing link. I really need to tap back into my creative writing. I miss it. Maybe on my flights to/from Aruba I will work on one.

I'm not a pagan Roman, but I plan on celebrating like one!
