Let's NOT talk about the Bears' 36-7 loss yesterday. I'm sure, after all, that wasn't truly the Bears out there on the field yesterday, but, rather, some High School team they hired to substitute for the team, given the bad weather and all.
The weather was SO bad yesterday that I skipped the DuPage County Train Show, which I really had wanted to attend. I still need some minor things for the diorama I want to build, and that's the perfect place to purchase those things. Oh well. There's always January, I suppose.
I STILL don't know why I don't live in Florida. This weather is really lousy.
We set up our Christmas tree over the weekend. It is the most pathetic thing you have ever seen. It's a "Charlie Brown". I will post a picture of this little thing later this week.
The View Finders meeting last Thursday was enlightening and I think this group will be good for me - I hope I can be as good for the group. I understand that recently this group went to a hospital and took family portraits for people who would otherwise not be able to afford to have those portraits taken. I like that.
I've just about finished "The Fig Eater", and as soon as I do, I'm going to read "Cross Fire", by James Patterson. It comes highly recommended by Grannie. (She LOVES James Patterson's books.)

How lousy is lousy? Is it raining or snowing? Looking forward to see a picture of your Charly Brown Christmas tree!
you can't go wrong with james patterson, i love his books too!
Um, yeah. I'm from Patriot's territory. Did someone forget to tell the Bears to show up? I was hoping for a win, but didn't expect THAT.
To add insult to injury, all that snow you're getting is just rain here. It warmed up to about 50. I'm SO not ready for that kind of snow.
Yet another one.
I LOVE Charlie Brown Christmas trees. We can no longer find them anymore. What with all the tree farms trimming to produce the "perfect" tree, no one has anything less.
You just keep thinking, "Florida, Florida..."
I think that your shoulders are too broad for Florida... that is why you are still where you are.
Looking forward to volunteering in the community once I learn my way around here and get 'settled'.
Take care. Be safe on the roads.
Love & Rockets!

You skipped a train show? The weather must really be that bad, huh? My sister texted me that it was "like a blizzard."
