The Day After

The nice thing about Christmas on Saturday is that Sunday is then left to be a day of 'recovery'. You've got all day to work on feeling better before you go back to work on Monday. Of course, the 'between the Holidays week off' is popular with many who work, so many people have not only Sunday, but all of the following week to 'recover'. I, of course, took the 'pre-Holiday week off' approach, knowing that the week between the Holidays - when I will return to work - is s l o w.

The "Sales" start today. Time to go out and buy that new Christmas Tree that will replace the "Charlie Brown" tree from this year. I think, however, we may have to find a way to make that little tree the Assistant Tree when we do Christmas next year. It's earned it.

This year, I had a loop of track around the tree and a train running on that track for the first time in more than 50 years. I've WANTED to do that for a long time, but somehow events conspired against me, or I just forgot, or I didn't have the equipment or any number of other reasons served to be the excuse for not getting a train running around the tree. This year, I did it. Pictures tomorrow.

I hope your Christmas was as good as mine. I hope you all enjoy a Happy and Prosperous New Year. I wish you Peace and Love. In quantity.

Ndinombethe.

I took this week off to recover. :) We *may* brave the stores to look for a new tree, too. Or we may wait a few days until the madness dies down - Boxing Day sales last all week around here.

Happy holidays! <3
