Monday Meanders 10-4

Today is 10-4. Reminds me of my CB days.

That was the worst offensive performance I have ever seen by the Bears. In fact, I'm having trouble remembering ANY offense that looked as bad as they did last night. Pathetic.

Not only that, their poor play on the line cost them two quarterbacks. Is Mike Tice the answer at offensive line coach? I wonder.

I took more photos of Pop Warner Football yesterday. That team of kids is unstoppable. At least I got to see some good football.

Grannie is progressing nicely. This week she goes in to have the feeding tube that's been inserted into her stomach, removed. Thank the Goddess.

I watched Blackpool play Liverpool today. English Premier League soccer. (I'm a big fan.) Adam is a grand player for Blackpool. Liverpool do not seem to be playing up to their previous level of play - and Blackpool are playing far above expectations. To my mind, the big surprises in the Premier League are Man City and Blackpool.

Did you know I'm a rabid soccer fan?

Happy about Grannie's news!

Sorry about the Bears.... but what do I know? Though if you really want to be depressed, try having a husband who is a Portsmouth FC supporter...

Didn't know you were a rabid soccer fan. But Italians? Now they are some rabid soccer fans! I really got into the game when my husband's nephew went to Stanford (we lived close by then) on a soccer scholarship. Those were great games!
Good for Grannie!

I'm a rabid soccer fan myself. But... my hubby is a Bears fan. And Cubs. And Bulls. He's a Chicago Boy, too. He was ANGRY last night... to say the least.

Good news is Grannie's news. Always a bright side to everything in life, no?

Oh yeah, it is 10-4. To celebrate I will listen to some music by my friend's band, Big 10-4. They're pretty good too!

Good Grannie news! Mine is gloomy, and says that she feels old. As if you aren't supposed to feel old when you're ninety-four.

Sam's friend went to a Chelsea match the other day. Sam sent his enormous Chelsea flag along, so he could be there in spirit! Today he's got an inter-house match, and on the opposing team is his teammate from primary school! Sam's a striker, left. Friend is goalie. I am longing to hear all about it!
