After this, it's big boy pants

There's a lot going on this weekend. Today I'm working at the office, and of course, tomorrow is Halloween. It was always my intention to re-post my Halloween Story tomorrow so the weekend would have only been one 'Sarah' episode anyway.

The 'big boy pants' referred to in the title of this post actually refers to the fact that I have let this story flounder long enough. It's time to hike up the jock strap, put on those Big Boy Pants, and get the frigging job done. So no more dilly-dallying around (Yes, I AM that old). Like Larry the Cable Guy says, I'm gonna "get 'er dun".

There are two days during the week when I work on Sarah - Friday and Saturday. I don't outline, I don't work ahead, and until recently, the only way I had to reference earlier bits of the story for continuity was to actually go back and read the story itself - which, by the way, is unindexed. The story is getting to the point where consistency within the story is getting harder to maintain by simply recollecting things in my head, so I have been about the process of building a little post process outline, so that I know where I am in the story, and everything that has happened. Honest. It's not cheating.

My intention has always been to allow the story to take its own direction and path to its final conclusion. In order to do that, I have intentionally worked without a plan or outline. But it's getting difficult to write it properly - after all, it's always easier to remember the truth rather than a fiction.

But in the end, I WILL "get 'er dun".

Of course you will.

It must be that additional month of age I have on you, but for me, it would be no more shilly-shallying.

Your audience (and Sarah's fans) await.

Everyone has their own style... you must have a snare for a memory because the story is linear and doesn't seem to have left anything out or want for use.

Thanks for the update on the process. We will be waiting for the next installment.

I think you're doing great, I can't imagine trying to accomplish it here, like this. Way to go!
