Essentially, taking over Haiku Friday means keeping the Avatar meaningful - and add McLinky so others can find other Haikus Friday. So that's what I'm doing. I've 'appropriated' her jpeg for Haiku Friday. The jpeg is not mine. It's hers.
Sewn and bound and stacking high.
One reads to escape.

So glad to see this being taken over by someone, and no one better than you, Lou! Awesome. Thanks!
Also, love your haiku. I miss books.
definately!
Awesome that you're taking it over hon!
Your haiku is wonderful appropriate, seeing as this week was Banned Book Week - in celebration of those books we love on the banned book list. (Hugs)Indigo
Ah...yes, books...bound but freeing.
Good for you!
Reminds me of the bumper sticker "So many books, so little time."
Beautiful haiku, Lou. Books have always been a magical escape for me, a portal to other lands, other worlds, other minds. When I was a kid, someone gave me Anne of Green Gables for my birthday. It was so big, and there were no pictures! And then I started to read, and I was transported. I've never looked back.
