100 Word Challenge - Corridor

What follows is in response to the 100 Word Challenge, authored by the straight as an arrow Velvet Verbosity. The word this week is "Corridor".

100 Word Challenge

The Dream

It was a long, white corridor. Without an end. And with each step he took, he felt more and more oppressed by some unseen presence, a terror felt but not seen.

There was just this deep sense of foreboding.

It was a dream he'd had before.

It was a dream he hated.

He knew he was dreaming, but he couldn't wake.

He never woke from this dream - he was always woken.

He pressed on, step after step. Suddenly there was nothing to step on and he was falling, terrified, clutching at air.

He woke just as he hit the floor.

PLEASE NOTE: Grannie's surgery is scheduled for this morning. Annie and I are at the hospital with her.

I will do updates on FaceBook and Twitter (@lceel) as I can - for any who might be interested. and for those of you sending good vibes her way - thank you so very much.

I can feel the place where this 100-word entry was born. Know that you aren't there alone.

Sending good vibes... definitely! And I love your "Dream". It read exactly like it happens when we dream we're falling!

What is it with corridors in dreams? I'm going to have to look that up, I used to know that stuff.

I hate dreams like that. They linger even after you've woke up.

Sending best wishes for Grannie and her surgery.

Oh how I dislike those perpetual dreams/nightmares. Well said, Lou.

I hope your grannie is doing well. Take care of you and yours.

I hope everything turned out well with Grannie's surgery.
Like VV I'm curious about the meaning of a corridor in dreams, but yours fits together perfectly. Like how the word was meant to be used.
