I had the most amazing weekend.
I got an unexpected email that reminded, strongly, why I blog. That email left me on cloud nine all weekend long. And LM (Love Muffin) now understands a little better - she was there when I saw the email, and I read it to her.
Did you know that yesterday was Mother's Day in the U.K.? Lift a glass. I did.
I got to hang out with this lovely lady for much of yesterday ---

Mishi was in town on business and we had lunch, we hung out and talked for several hours, met Nap Warden and several other bloggers at a restaurant and hung out a little more, and then they all took off for a dinner they needed to attend and I went home.
While Mishi and I were talking, she introduced me to a little gadget she has, called a "Lens Baby". It does some cool stuff I can't really explain very well - just go here and look around. I took the shot that follows with the Lens Baby on my camera.

That lens baby thingamijig looks cool. I'll have to check it out. I've been picking Mishi's brain too about cameras tonight...I mean why not?? :-)

I'm glad you had a great weekend!
Amazingly, I DID know it was Mother's Day in the UK - and even more astoundingly, I managed to get cards and flowers to Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers.
No wonder I'm tired this morning, all that being impressed with myself....
I'm jealous you got to hang with Mishi! I look forward to meeting her soon.

That lensbaby looks like a very cool gadget, I've seen pictures on Mishi's blog. It must have been great to hang out with Mishi and the other bloggers, I'm just a teeny weeny bit jealous. (I'm not the only one it seems.) I love the picture of you and Mishi, you both look great, and I love that little sparkle in your eyes!
