I'm Farming

Last night, LM (Love Muffin) grabbed my laptop out of my hands and said, "I just want to check my Farm".

Farm?

Now, there's a couple of things here that are, perhaps, a bit subtle and may not just pop right to the fore of your mind.

First of all, she has not been a reader of this blog. Until now. Because now my blog is linked to Facebook, and my posts show up on Facebook, as well as here. And she has started up on Facebook - she doesn't blog, just Facebook. And now she sees my posts. And comments. In person.

There may be some constraints of future posts. That's all I'm sayin'.

Second of all, I AM on Facebook, but, like Twitter, I am seldom actually ON Facebook. And over time, I have accumulated a number of things like Farmville gifts and neighbor requests which have gone unaccepted and unanswered.

Until now.

She went to Facebook when she grabbed my laptop and it went right to MY Facebook page. The next thing I knew, she had started accepting gifts and neighbor requests - on MY farm. I have this REALLY nice farm going now.

Then she signed in to Facebook on HER account. And her little lower lip stuck out a country mile.

Nowhere NEAR enough neighbors. 5. That's all she has. Or had - I don't know for sure - but that's all she had when her lip stuck out.

So now she's jealous.

So maybe some of you who are on Facebook and are doing Farmville could send a neighbor request to Annie Lohman, yes?

Help a guy out here, 'K?

Ndinombethe.

p.s. More 'Sarah' tomorrow.

Farmville...hmm...I get so many requests for this...but have to decline them all.
One look at my garden at home explains why...I have to steer clear of anything requiring daily 'tending' (that isn't teenage and male and living here).

Ha ha I was walking through the airport and passing the internet stations lining the corridoors....and people were farming on facebook!!

Grin, not much of a facebook girl here. So, sorry, can't really help ;)

I have Facebook, but I'm "on it" about just as much as you are!
I use it to keep in touch with some friends and family, but ... Well, you KNOW how I feel about Farmville, don't you?

I would love to have Annie as a FV neighbor, but first she will have to accept me as a FB friend. I'll send her a request this morning. (and by the way I'm on FB way to much. I think it is why my blog is suffering. But since WE now how them linked .....)

I don't do farmville, or most other requests. Sorry.

Like Myst_72, I tend to shy away from the Facebook apps that require daily tending. But I wish Annie a bushel of neighbors!

I used to be on FB quite a bit but the novelty has kind of worn out. I still gets all kinds of request for farmville & yoville. Everytime I look I have way too many requests so I pretty much ignore them...lol.
Loved your haiku the other day. Very nice to include current events.
ALso, I am loving Sarah's story. Decided to comment to let you know you have another reader.

I'm on FB, but Farmville is too much work. Everything always dies for me. Just sayin'.

I'm on facebook far too much- but I don't do Farmville. My husband does, as do most of his friends- I'll put in a good word!

I have been reminded that I've been getting a little lazy, lately, and I haven't been answering my comments.

Mea Culpa. And I'll do better.

Myst_72: Hah. Farming in Australia at the airport. Cool.

Nicole: That's okay. I love you anyway.

Jientje: Know, as a matter of fact, I don't.

Mrs F with 4: Thank you, ma'am.

Patsy: Done and done. And profitably, too.

Moneythoughts: It's okay, Fred. It ain't everybody's cup o' tea.

Tuli: She's been getting new neighbors all day. Great!

Shadow: Lie I said - It ain't everybody's 'thing'.

Collette: Thank you, Collette.

Joyce-Anne: No green thumb, eh?

Loraine: Thank you, Loraine.

Heather: No green thumb, either?

HollyATOM: Not for everybody.

Thanks for answering your comments again Lou. I thought I commented about Farmville before? I think it's such a time sucker. People who get caught by the Farmville bug hardly get to their blogs anymore. My daughter wanted me to be her neighbor too, but no matter how much I love her I'm not getting into this!
A man's got to do what his LM wants him to do, I'm sure...

I’m absolutely certain you don’t want me sending Annie a shout out. The Little Woman did her first blogging today as well. She’s posted something on some concertina/accordion lover’s blog and got a response. She’s stoked.

My hubs doesn't even read my blog, I can't see him ever getting on FB or Twitter, or anything for that matter. Good luck farming. I can see the two of you as a sort of modern American Gothic, her holding a laptop, and you with a camera and tripod.

I didn't have the patience for Facebook. It was like high school in a lot of ways. Getting poked, sent gifts, and invites and I have so very little time as it is...
