SWNLWTBKASWMBOA

The acronym I have chosen to title this post stands for "She Who No Longer Wishes To Be Known As She Who Must Be Obeyed Anymore".

Yes, I have been given orders by LM (stands for Love Muffin) that I am no longer to refer to her as SWMBO. She doesn't like it - is, in fact, offended by it. So orders have been cut and delivered. And acknowledged.

So she wanted to be called 'Evil'. As in Evil Knievel. I know, I probably spelled it wrong but I'm too lazy to Google it. Anyway, I didn't think it appropriate to call her 'Evil' so I thought about it for a while. Keep in mind, I'm that man who could think of nothing more original as a name for his blog, than his initials -L.C.L. Spelled out. And then thought that making it "LouCeeL" made more sense than "ElCeeEl". Perhaps if I had made it ElCeeEl I wouldn't have had to spend so much time explaining to people that I am NOT a woman named Lucille.

Anyway, I gave her a choice between "Love Muffin" (I had to tell her 'No, it's not a reference to your muffin top') and Demonica. I was seriously, by this time, leaning toward Demonica and telling her it's "My blog .. deal with it."

She seemed to like Love Muffin but thought it sounded a bit 'hokey' - so I said "How about if I just make it LM? If anybody asks I'll tell 'em it stands for Lucy McGoosey".

She said fine.

Should I tell her?

Nah. I'll just wait till the next time she bends over.

Ndinombethe.

How about TOWSNBN - The One Who Shall Not Be Named. In the Hebrew Bible, that which people refer to as the Old Testament, God's name is never used. Other words for God's name are used when the story refers to God. So, that is why I suggested TOWSNBN.

I never thought you were a woman!! You had that little oneliner on your blog at thgat tim, " and no, Kenny Rogers did not sing about me" or something similar. I always liked that. Cute. That makes me think of another song, " a guy named Sue"

I think Love Muffin is cute. I know you like muffins! ;-)

Kinda sad. I always liked the image of SWMBO to your Rumpole. LM it is then. *snicker*

While Love Muffin is definitely cute, she will always be Lucy McGoosey to me.

LM it shall be then. I will miss SWMBO because I knew you meant it affectionately. (I think!) However, feelings are feelings and should not be ignored.

I would have liked MA. My Annie, also known as everybody's ma. But then we might have gotten confused whether you were referring to Grannie or Annie. Love Muffin is wonderful.

And I JUST found an adorable coffee mug that says "She Who Must Be Obeyed" and thought of her.

Moneythoughts: An interesting idea - she already has a Goddess complex - this could reinforce that idea.

Jientje: Yes - I DO like muffins.

Tara R: Secretly, she will ALWAYS be SWMBO to me.

CaraBee: ROFL. Especially if she reads this.

Nicole: I like LM too. Lucy.

Joyce-Anne: I did mean it affectionately.

Hyphen Mama: I know. I think she's kinda stuck with it whether she likes it or not.

Farewell SWMBO... Welcome LM (they're my initials - and I'm not Love Muffin or Lucy McGoosey)!

You should totally call her Mistress. As in "Yes, my Mistress, whatever you desire." Because you know she's got a riding crop. Hm-mmmm. ;)

I'm glad SWMBO is gone. You two are too much in love to use an acronym like that. Yeay for LM!

LM it shall be then. My guess is you may even get less questions about what LM stands for than you did for SWMBO :)

I thought I had responded to this post --- anyway I had wondered what SWMBO stood for and now I know. Robert would probaly laugh and say all women could be called that and my response is "Rightfully so!" Now that I know what it means I may begin to refer to myself as SWMBO --- I could have used that with my children too. I think Annie missed something here by wanting it changed.
Sincerely, SWMBO
