A Little Unhappy

With Blogger, that is. As of yesterday, I still had no dates displayed on posts. And the scheduler thing still does not function. However. I checked some other sites I have and have access to and they are just fine. It is apparent, now, that Blogger has made some changes that have broken certain things in the custom site built for me by Honeybell. And that just bites. So. You may see some changes here. Things may even become 'unstable' here for a short period of time (Not ME - the site). Although I will most certainly try not to mess things up.

It seems that when you change templates in Blogger, sometimes Blogger makes you re-install all of your gadgets. And sometimes that doesn't work like you would like it to.

I like my site - even though the Adsense stuff is ugly, I only do Adsense so I can get statistics on my site - and I don't want to be forced into changing the look and feel of what Daneen built for me. But if I have to in order to have a stable and properly functioning site, then I will.

So just bear with me, 'K? We'll get this fixed up proper, one way or the other.

Ndinombethe.

I never had problems when I was on holliday. All my scheduled posts seem to have appeared just like I wanted. Maybe it's the template thing. I'm very reluctant to make changes in it, I avoid it as much as I can. I even made a new blog because I was scared Blogger would steal a year worth of comments. I'm glad I did. I'm much happier with the new one.
Sometimes change CAN be good too.
It all depends.
I hope it works again real soon.
Such problems drain your energy.
That sucks.

Become unstable? Oh you're setting yourself up.

You're talking over my head. Yet, I hope you get what you want straightened out.

If you want yourself some supah web hosting, Ree and I rave about Rob, who is so helpful, and economical too. Very obliging.
And? Wordpress has its own stats plugin, so you won't need adsense.

If you end up wanting a change, I use Squarespace and love it - they give good stats, too.

Good luck :)

I'm sorry but I can't help you. Try not to let it frustrate you.

I've noticed weird things on my blogger site, too, after I changed the template. I no longer can access my dashboard from my blog, I have to do a work around. Annoying. I also have to re-do all widgets I've added, which is why I currently have none, because who has time for that?

I hope you get it worked out.

I'm not sure what the capacity is through blogger, but I use google analytics (google it *wink*) and statcounter.

I had adsense, and by the time I made $100 (1.5 years after installing the code on my blog), they deactivated me permanently for "invalid clicks." Meaning that I'll never be able to put adsense up on any blog in the future.

Which I guess is fine, since I put the ads on my site for free for 1.5 years and never was paid anything for it. :) Don't think I like their ways.

P.S. I'm using a new non-back-user-friendly template on my newest (unreleased) site. And the tutorials Are. In. GERMAN.
*sigh*

Blogging is fun, but it should require a helmet.

I agree with Audubon Ron...

Hehe!

Ugh. I hate when my site acts all wonky. No one ever warns you about how much time you get to mull around in the back-end of a blog. No fun.

Hang in there. Hope you get things figured out soon.
