Jasper is crazy

I have just started reading a book by Jasper Fforde. It's called "The Eyre Affair". The Heroine is Thursday Next. Ms. Next is a Detective. And that's just about all that fits in any kind of information container you're familiar with. It's fun. It's witty. It's a sly wink at all the things we think of (and don't think of) as normal.

I don't normally do reviews and make recommendations. But I do want to recommend this book.

And I haven't even finished it yet.

And I'll suggest a book back : Autobiography of a Face~Lucy Grealy.
Nothing like your book, but, read it.
I don't "do" fiction a lot, but I need to kick my reading around a bit, so I will look for this. ~Mary

Thursday Next. I just might have to read that because of the heroine's name.

Lou, how are you all? Hope you and family are all doing well!
I've never read Jasper Fforde (though he's on my list) but I thought you might like this distant gossip snippet....Jasper was rather keen on one of my friends, who was oblivious at the time...until she found out who he was and became interested...of course he was married again by then! She's been grumbling about that ever since, typical woman huh!
Lots of love BG x
