While there's still time

This coming weekend #3 Son graduates from High School. The next day we all pile into a couple of cars and head for Missouri. Bitsy and SWMBO will spend as much time as possible soaking up pool and sun, and my three sons and I (Just call me Fred) will spend as much time as money will allow chasing little white balls (don't EVEN go there) all over the Branson countryside.

I heard David Feherty say, on TV, that the Irish really invented golf. They gave it to the Scots as a joke.

Anyway, I am going to preset posts for the week that we are gone, so that should I not be able to post while there, I WILL have something new every day. Because I can.

Oh, and one more thing. I am reading some stuff I need as research for "One Knight's Story". I didn't live in the late 12th Century (my sons' opinions notwithstanding) so I need to catch up on a few things so that I am as accurate as I can be. I feel that fiction is stronger when it is based in fact and reality - when you've done reading one of my stories, you should feel that even though you know you've been told a story that didn't really happen, you still learned something you didn't know before. All of that said, there will be a little break in the story as I do my research. Besides, all they're doing right now is running for the shoreline as they have seen the pirates approaching - and that takes a long time in those slow moving boats of the late 12th century.

You could visit Cincinnati, much that we have here is from the 12th century or before. In fact, across the Ohio River from this city we have the Creationist Museum. I told you we have a lot of people from the 12th century or before.

Have and safe and fun trip. And, make a few birdie putts for me.

My oldest daughter graduates today. My youngest "graduates" grade school on Friday, and my middle child is "graduating" from Jr. High but hasn't told me when because she doesn't think its a big deal.

Such fun times for you. I remember #3 daughter graduating -- There is something special about the last one making that milestone that is missing with the other -- could it be that there are other to follow?????

And I'm glad you do the research before writing. See, pesonally I think all histroy should be taught through a good novel, and if it is a good romance novel than the all the better. I think I would have learned a lot more history --- I do have hummm get to watch a lot of the history channel now. Wonder if that'll increase starting Monday. Something to think about.

Hey congratulations on your son, I love learning about how stuff was done in the long past as well, I would love a sort of time machine that took u back in the past in a ghostlike state like in Scrooge and just see I bet with Virtual Reality in the future it could be possible

Ha! Not from the 12th Century despite your sons' opinion. You're funny. :)

Just this week at our 2nd destination (in the mountains of CO) I met a man from Branson, now living in CO. I said "OH... I've got a friend headed to your town."

I hope it's WONDERFUL!
