Lots of room to play around in. Cool.
I'm not going to be able to visit blogs much over the next several days - so if you notice me missing - it's only because I'm busy. I will be back. I will catch up. And I will be posting here.
But, before I turn out the light and go to bed ...
I have been given a book - "The Poetry & Short Stories of Dorothy Parker" - which I intend to read cover to cover. Dorothy Parker was one of those people I would really like to have known. Like Hemingway. Or F. Scott Fitzgerald. The literati of the Twentieth Century. Anais Nin. Henry Miller. Herman Wouk. Anyway.....
She was a wit and had a way with short, succinct poems. To wit:
By the time you swear you're his,
Shivering and sighing,
And he vows his passion is
Infinite, undying -
Lady, make a note of this:
One of you is lying.
