I was watching CSI: New York. Mac Taylor said, "Make sure you make the most of moments you share with those you care about." Words to live by. Rare words with real heart from a TV program. Who knew?
I am going to try out Utterli on Saturday. It is possible, now, to create a post on Utterli and cross post with virtually any one of the blog environments out there. Including Blogger. In that environment, it is possible to construct a post which consists of voice, photo, text and video, or just some of those. It does have some limitations - the biggest one, for me, is that it is not possible (at this time) to schedule a post in advance. So there's no way for me to post at 12:01 AM except if I stay up to do it. I get up at 4:30 in the morning - there aren't going to be many weekdays where I'm going to be posting via Utterli, if it does become a method I use to post. Weekends are a much stronger possibility. Anyway, look for the first post on Saturday morning. And if you feel motivated to do so, let me know what you think. Please?
Tomorrow promises to be an interesting day. I am going to meet up with a blogger friend, whom I have never met, and the Mother-in-law of that friend. The MIL lives in Florida and is coming north to visit. She reads both of our blogs - but she lurks here. I may have even persuaded SWMBO to attend, as well. We'll see how that works out. I mean, SOMEBODY has to take the pictures for this blog. There will be pictures on my friends blog, as well.
Not bad for a nothing, totally dry day, eh?
Peace.

some days the right words just pop seemingly out of nowhere... how many of us actually hear them though?!?! you did.
i have no clue what you are talking about... that utterli thingy???? so i'll wait 'til saturday and have a look-see.
how exciting. to meet a blogger. hopefully one day, i too can post something like this. now that would be a real hightlight!
Ha ha. Considering that one of your passions is photography...a photo or two might be enjoyable here!
That's cool, it would be interesting to meet a few blog friends in real life.
CSI New York is the only CSI I don't watch. TV programs do have some interesting, intelligent words every once in a while. Heck they should with the staff of writers they have, LOL.
What the heck is Utterli?
Enjoy tomorrow! Sounds like fun!
One of the lines that's stuck with me from a movie:
‘What you feel only matters to you. It’s what you do to the people you say you love that matters; that’s the only thing that counts.’ – The Last Kiss
I will look forward to the photos!

You tried the Utterli thing last evening didn't you????? I thought a saw a post about it, but it was in a strange place. Wouldn't come in on this page, but would on my dashboard. I really have no idea what you are talking about either, but figure you know what you are doing. Me, I'll just stick to this simple form of pleasure.
Enjoy your meet up! Its so cool to meet up with bloggy friends!
That is a great quote. I don't watch the show but I lurv Gary Sinise. LT DAN!
How fun!!! Is it in the city or the suburbs? Do take photo's I can't wait!
cat
I, too, am clueless about Utterli.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow AND SWMBO!
I've never heard of utterli. Not being able to post in advance is definitely a drawback. Have a great meet-up!
Yay for meeting bloggy pals in real life! That is just the best. With all of my peeps being in Chicago, I'm convinced someday I'll meet you.
Utterli looked at first to me like Uteri, which would be Maggie-Latin for two uteruses. But when I typed it, spell-checker didn't say it wasn't a word. So I looked it up, and my Maggie-Latin is actually correct because that is, indeed, the plural form of uterus. But that's not what you wrote, and now I've gone way off on a rogue tangent in comments.
Innywho, looking forward to pictures of the bloggy meeting and to whatever you do with Utterli. :)
Yepp, sometimes even TV offers some food for thought :)
You are meeting a fellow blogger, how cool :D!
Utterli? Never heard of it. Sounds like coming out of Switzerland.
There's a tool for that kind of stuff,....I added it to my linkblog a while back,...lemme check....
Voila: http://www.blogdesk.org/de/index.htm
Some of my fellow blog friends have tested it.
I haven't. No need right now :)
Oh....English version:
http://www.blogdesk.org/en/index.htm
And me again, I just read what kind of blogs they work on...not blogger :(
But I'm out of Luck with any of those to begin with, hehe :)
Oh well, I guess it will be Switzerland for you then ;)
The connections we make with people over the internet is really amazing! Have a great time with your blogger friend!
I went to university in Bemidji, Minnesota, where it was well below zero for big chunks of the winter. We actually got out spring jackets when it warmed up to 30 degrees, it was that cold.
Since Anchorage is on the Cook Inlet, the weather is not as cold as that. It's single digits and teens this week, possibly dipping below zero at night. Crazy as it may sound, I am really happy to be in the cold cold snow climate. It's such a great and fabulous and wonderful change from the hot hot desert climate of the last four years.
(And yes, I will be bitching when the weather gets really really cold. And I realize that many people would think it already has. I have never claimed to be normal.)
I have not heard about Utterli but it sounds like a pretty cool service. Will have to do some research on that one. Have fun meeting your friend.
That'll be neat. I'll look for the Utterli post too....
It will be interesting to see how that works for you. I'm looking forward to 'hearing' what you sound like.
Huh. I never heard of Utterli, but it will be fun to see what you do with it!
Hope you have a fun meet-up with your blog friend!
So with this Utterli you talk into your phone and the writing appears on your blog or something like that?
Yes Im settling down a bit now I think, just enjoying my life i think for maybe the first time in my life, its true them aa promises
I googled a little, I have some idea now, but I'm very very curious to see what you can do with it on your blog. And even more curious to see some pictures here, FINALLY!!
Have fun with your blogger friends!!
Shadow: We'll see. I think this is going to be a highlight. This could turn out to be the first of many.
Ayewonder: According to my picasaweb folder, I have published 153 photos in this blog. Just haven't done that in a while.
Eric S: Utterli used to be called Utters - and it's a mechanism for doing voice and other media in a blog format.
Tash: More words to live by - and oh, so true.
Myst_72: Me, too, Gina.
Patsy: You are too quick. Yes, I did a quick test, hoping it would post to a draft - but no, it went direct to a live post.
M+B: It will be cool. I'm also getting a bit nervous. SWMBO is going to be there, too.
Calicobebop: I like Gary, as well. And he's from Chicago - my home town.
Cat: Photos coming. I promise.
Employee: We will both be there.
Cathy: I have my fingers crossed.
Maggies Mind: Uteri? Automatic twin maker?
Nicole: Look at Utterli - it's different than blogdesk.
Julie: Oh, Julie. You may never have claimed normal - and maybe you're not - but you ARE real.
Sogeshirtsguy: I will have fun.
Christy: It will be up on Saturday morning.
Tara R: *gulp*
Holly ATOM: I'm sure we're gonna have an interesting time.
Michael: Yes, Michael, they are.
Jientje: Pictures? You want pictures? Who knew?
Woohoo, for meeting blogging friends.
A blogging friend used Utters last year a few times. I'll be sure to see what you do with Utterli.
I am very curious about Utterli now. I have no idea what it is so I'm anxiously awaiting the weekend.
I hope you have a blast with your blogger friend! I'm so jealous he/she gets to meet you and Annie :)
Can't wait to see pics.
I can't wait to see the pictures!
I didn't have time to comment earlier--I've heard of Utterli but never used it. I'm not exactly technologically inclined. Enjoy your get together.
I love Mac Taylor.
