The Kid is Home

Guess who showed up in a mailer tube yesterday. You see him below, matted, framed and hung.

The same gracious person who created this portrait is the source of this quote: "There are two voices inside of each of us. One voice is doubt. The other is strength.
It’s your choice which voice you allow to guide you."

Yes, Vikki North of Red Chair Gallery is the source of that pearl of wisdom.

We have a family gathering today. My nephew and his fiance are having a party at the 'clubhouse' in the development where they live. And Zachary is taking his girlfriend. Yes, Zach has a girlfriend. An older woman, no less. She's a freshman and a small, private college in our area. Zach, of course, is a senior in High School. But I've got my eye on them. They're not gonna get away with nuthin'!

It's been a tough week for this family. And it's been tough at work, as well. It seems, sometimes, the hurrieder I go the behinder I get. But hey, if what I did were to be easy, then anybody could do it and I wouldn't have a job.

Jeanette seems unchanged for the last 24 hours. It looks like a nursing home is in her future. We'll see. We really appreciate all of the love and prayers being sent our way - being sent Jeanette's way. Thank you, all of you. Very much.

Peace.

I'm glad your getting to have a little fun. After the week you've had, you deserve it. As to getting farther behind,

Why is it when you get from here to there, you're still here and not there?

There's no rush, for you will still be here. Take a breather, and try to rest up over the weekend

"the hurrieder I go the behinder I get" - ME TOO! I love that! I'm going to see if the slower I go the further I get. Okay maybe not, I'm in the office on a Sat morning and as soon as this cup of coffee is done, the blogs are closed and the file will be opened. Grrr... maybe I'll read the file slooowwwlllyyy!

Enjoy the gathering. Good luck maintaining that delusion that they're not gonna get away with nuthin'.

both of my girls have older men in their lives. My youngest daughter met hers when she was 17 and he was 24 and I was not happy with that! But, she is now 33 and still with him. My oldest daughter is now 34, and has a new "boyfriend" who is 44. While I am glad she has finally met someone who may be "the one" I am personally having trouble with her dating someone who is so close to MY age. But, it is her life and she is happy so...

*The Kid* looks great there all matted and framed. I imagine he will help keep you inspired to write Sarah Pierce's story.

Enjoy the gathering at the *clubhouse* this evening. So son doesn't take after Dad --- goes for older women while Dad prefered his younger. :) Good luck keeping an eye on them so as they get away with nuthin' That makes me laugh.

Glad Jeanette is holding her own. I know you (the family) will be making some tough decisions. I will continue to hold you all up to the Lord. Love you guys.

As I write this my husband is at work, yes it is Saturday. It is typical for him and his strong work ethic and bad for his children (and me). But, I digress, have a good time at the party tonight--try to forget about life for awhile. Of course, I'm sure Zach will behave himself. After all, he's showing off the girlfriend to the family. I'll keep Jeanette, Annie and you in prayer and hope any decisions that have to be made will be made as easy as possible.

Eric S: Thanks, Eric. I will try to rest a bit.

Kelley: Thanks, kelley. you're a doll.

Jientje: Thank you, my Belgian Princess.

Shadow: He sits where he will look over my shoulder. And they aren't anywhere near as sneaky as I am.

Hyphen Mama: Thank you, darlin'.

Tash: They aren't. Not on my watch, anyway. And we did have fun.

Karen: Kismet is Kismet.

Patsy: Thank you so much, Patsy.

Joyce-Anne: Tell him I said to make sure to make time for you. And time for the kids, too.
