I was going to name this post, "All Things Come", but ... I could just see that going off in so many wrong directions ... I decided on the second half of the namesake saying. What the name of the post refers to is something that happened Monday and the subsequent decision, on my part, not to just jump into it.
Of course, I'm refering to this:
which was awarded to me on Monday by the lovely and gracious Nan Sheppard of Things I've Found In Pockets. Mother, wife, artist and a woman of Trinidad.
The very next day, Tuesday, I found that THIS
had been given to me by someone who has come to mean a great deal to me - and all she has had to do is be the person she just naturally is. I speak, of course, of Tash of Fabric of Life, a Trinidad and Tobago blog that details the life and times of an extraordinary young mother and her 10 year old son, Stinker - a beautiful young lad living life in the islands. Tom Sawyer in Trinidad.
But then, then I found what follows at Theresa's Angel's Mama, a Trini girl who finds herself thousands of miles from the islands, married to a very funny guy and mother to an absolute angelic little girl. Far from home, she keeps her head up and a smile goin'. Anyway, she made this:
available for the taking. YES! The same award. Times three. That means I can pick 30 people to give this to. See what I mean about "All things come to he who waits"? I am going to list my choices, in alphabetical order, on Sunday, right after I do the 100 Word Challenge.
But WAIT. Don't go yet.
There is a woman who I think is one of the coolest, bravest, comes-from-great-Scottish-stock people I know of - Siobhan of A Brit Different. She has given me this:
and just like my American Express card, there is no credit limit on this one.
Sunday just became an orgy.
I realize that this is a really ostentatious display of bloggy bling. And it's not something I normally do. But I just had to. First of all, I wanted you to know about four really bright, witty and amazing young women whose blogs I read. And second of all - it was just FUN.
I wonder if I'm manic-depressive.
Remember, I am taking questions all this week, to be answered on Saturday. All questions will be acknowledged, if not answered directly. And if I cannot or will not answer your question, I'll give you a good reason why.

Let me comfort you.
You are.
There.
and um-uh ..;
So AM I!!!
Hahaha, you crack me up. A bloggy bling orgy. And on a Sunday.
I dunno why, but this made me cry. I'm hormonal according to Witchypoo. But you see how you will never be invisible?? You get sooo much love from all over the world :)
you're having fun with this, nice! i take it 'the kid' is sorted for tomorrow then?!?!? giggles...
Check out all of your blog-bling!
A blog-bling orgy on Sunday you say? Though I'm normally not 'on' over the weekend, I think I'll have to make an exception...for my libido's sake.
You're just a big ole tease, aren't you?
I dont get any prizes or awards for my blog, its not fair
All well deserved.
I admire all the blogging you do. Considering you have a full time job, a family, interests and whatever else takes up your day, when do you sleep? My question: How many hours of sleep do you get a night? Are you one of those rare individuals that can function consistently on 4 hours of sleep? I am amazed at how many blogs you read! If there is a term blog-stud, you sure fit the bill.
Blog stud! hahaha, very appropriate.
Congratulations on all your awards!
See, never invisible!
And you know what I was thinking by the time I got to the part where Theresa gave you an award too??? You need to come visit us all in Trinidad... a glass of wine, some cheese, a jetty and nothing but the Caribbean sea...
Congratulations on the awards! You deserve them.
My questions for you, do you enjoy music? Do you sing and/or play an instrument?
Congratulations on your multiple awards! That threepeat is too funny.
OK, here's a question -- how did you meet and/or fall in love? (with your wife, a grandchild, anyone)
All very well deserved!
My question: Does your wife read your blog, and if so, what does she think about it?
I have no questions of intelligence at the moment, but just wanted to wish you a happy late b-day! :)
Such a tease! Leave it to you to turn awards into a ceremonious orgy ;) Congrats on the well deserved awards.
My questions:
- What is your dream job? And why?
- If there is 1 thing in the past that you had a chance to "do over," what would it be?
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- Blondes or Brunettes? Morning or night? Coffee or tea?
- If a renowned, talented plastic surgeon offered you 1 free service, would you do it?
You totally deserve it Lou. Thanks for the accolade.
1. What's your fave board game?
2. What's your fave meal/comfort food?
3. What household chore do you hate doing?
4. What's your fave colour?
5. Are you REALLY going to blog every day next year too?
Congrats on your award Lou. You're most deserving. And I agree with Tash: you're never invisible.
Vikki
Bling well deserved.
Questions?
OK, scrunch or fold of toilet paper?
Have you ever bitten your nails, fingers or toes?
And nipple rings. Do you have them or would you consider?
EVERYONE: Saturday's post is going to be a good one. I LOVE the questions so far.
That's just WAY cool:D!
And no - you are not :)
I believe all artists are manic-depressive. Something in our brain that makes us different yet beautiful - we all seem to be trapped in our head to some extent and experience more ups and downs. Such is the curse of creativity :-) You deserve the bling!
