100 Word Challenge - Fresh

The following is in response to the 100 Word Challenge authored by the revivified Velvet Verbosity.

His mind went back to a time, when lithe young bodies held each other in slender arms, cradled each other with emotion that protected both of them from any thought of danger, harm, future or commitment. They wrapped each other in the arms of young love, flowering love, the bright bloom of that love blinding them to naught but each other. The keening in their chests for each other, the yearning in their loins for each other, drowning out the voice of concern for where they might be, who might see, who would hear. A time when love was fresh.

This is the second post on this day, Sunday. This post means that Monday's post will come late in the day. Short-lived. A 'Nothing' post. And then Tuesday's post will come at 12:01 AM Tuesday morning. And so will subsequent posts - 12:01 AM. That way I will be sure to publish the next episode on time.

You would like that, right?

Ahhhh, a dose of Lou every day - and sometimes, on time.

I'll be back.

Young love is nice, but it's been a while. Could your next 100 word challenge be a little on the pornographic side?

I'm just kidding (sorta)

It was lovely to visit around the net for the day and come and read this. Ahhh...

Excuse me. Must find my husband now. :)

Nice work, as usual....young love....I used to be a love addict, and when I read that, I know what it means.

I just never liked it to mature......so "fresh" is all I wanted.

Fresh. I'll be remembering this one.....

I would love to go back to that time.

myst_72: Been there?

warriorwoman: Be careful what you ask for.

alice: glad you enjoyed it.

melissa: And do what?

Christy: That's all I can ask - that i have evoked 'memory'.

eve grey: Would not we all?

eric s: Thanks. I fixed that link, BTW.

mike: No. Not work. Fun. And thanks, Mike.

nicole: That was and is the idea. Memories.

tash: have a fun trip. And thank you, too.

I remember when it was that way with my husband and I. Now, it is more like hurry, hurry before one of the babies cry. I miss those days.

Beautiful!

"...the yearning in their loins "

*snickers* You said loins.

One hundred beautiful words. Great way to start the day.

Earlier: I got a chuckle out of what you said on my post *Super-Size That?* With three sisters over weight we could be called the Butt sisters. Would love to hear that routine. :) Thanks for the laugh.

Oh Lou, this brought a tear to my eyes today. Your 100 words brought me right back to when I met Dadisodes. So beautiful ans sweet. Missing him dearly today.

Ah yes, young love. Sigh!

Nicely written. At 65, I am happy where I am. Yes, we were all young once, but for me living it once was enough. That time moves on, is what makes that time so special.

This almost, ALMOST made me want to go back to the days of being that young.

ALMOST.

conversemomma: Get a babysitter, take him to a motel, and remember.

elizabeth: Well, I WAS limited to 100 words.

patsy: I remembered where that came from - the song "Troglodytes".

Sandy C: Glad I could help? That WAS a help, right?

employee: Sigh. Yes. Old love ain't so bad, either.

moneythoughts: Yes. But it IS nice reliving those thoughts and feelings - knowing, that if we knew then what we know now .....

loralee: I'll try harder next time .. no pun intended.

hyphen mama: Just which of those words are we talking about??

Ah, beautifully captured in your words, the mostly indescribable fresh young love feeling. Nice.

I've now joined in the attemps to write thanks to you --- I've posted 100 words on Fresh. Not as steamy as yours, but something to muse over. :)

Brings me back...

But then, I think we can still recapture all that fun ;-) Kids or not. :-) It just takes practice...

I can't wait to catch up on 3 weeks of blogs...what fun! :-)

ah yes...addictive that feeling. Some people literally become addicted to it, it's so powerful.
