So starts the week

For the first time since the 11th of June, there is an update - a new piece - on NewAtArt. It feels SO GOOD to finally get downstairs and DO something.

It's an 'ala prima' piece - painted all at once, in one session. If you'd like to see it, just click on the link in the first sentence of this post - I'm not going to post it here.

Hopefully (and I DO mean hopefully) I'll be putting more stuff up there, and soon. I want to experiment doing 'miniatures' - little 4x4, 6x6 and 4x6 paintings, on canvas, of Still Lifes and Portraits.

Today is Monday and the first day of the work week. This is going to be an especially busy week for me, as I have a couple of projects that have been hanging fire too long and it's time to kick those puppies off the dime. Hopefully, they won't run over into 'evening time' and take away from my blogging time. Again, HOPEFULLY. But, anyway, y'all have a good week. Peace.

Oh, and BTW, tomorrow is Grannie's 82nd birthday. If you want to leave her a Birthday Wish here, I'll forward it along, but if you'd like to, you can email her directly at grannie1926 at yahoo.com. If you want to, that is.

I like the light on top of the dark colors. He looks reflective, almost anguished yet hopeful with the air of innocence about him.
I don't know what was going on when the picture was taken, that's just my interpretation.

I love it that an 82 year old has an e-mail account. She's so hip.

I don't know Grannie, but happy birthday! What's your secret for a long life?!

It takes a special talent to paint, even more so people, I think.

I am still wondering how I did at guessing on the new picture of Zach. You didn't comment back, so I was thinking I must've been far off.
