And I DON'T mean Lotus' Saturday post. You see, on our very first day in London (Easter Sunday), after we went to Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park,
We found our way to the Tube,
And we made our way here,
To the British Museum. The. British. Museum.
Where we didn't really have much time to explore, at all. We were actually killing some time while we waited to be able to check in at our hotel and we decided, on the spur of the moment, to go to the museum. We didn't get to see much, but we did see:
The Rosetta Stone (behind glass - a terrible picture),
Rameses,
A pretty statue in the Grecian style,
And some other stuff that I'll post up tomorrow.

I love the British Museum. It's completely stuffed with fascinating things, and a good store as well. They have some of the Lewis Chessmen there, my kids really like them (it may have something to do with our Norwegian heritage). My kids also really liked seeing the Egyptian stuff.
I would have been drooling all over those Egyptian displays!
WOW!!! Those must have been truly amazing to see in person. The outside looks so impressive :)
Oooh, and how was the tube?
lucky you, looks like you saw some good stuff.
too bad I didn't think about museums when I was there.
ah well....
Oh that is very cool. I'm feeling great envy.
I love museums (hubby doesn't, sigh ;) )
Looks like a wonderful trip - I love history and museums.
Hehehe! ;-)
My sister used to live in England, but I did not get to visit her... :-(
