Word for Wednesday - anxious

Ah, yes. The nerves are starting to settle in. "A little jumpy, today, are we? A bit cross? Oh, Lou, that's so unlike you. What's the matter with you?" The questions come pouring in. You see, I LOVE to travel. I don't get to do it enough, but I do love it. If I ever win the lottery, that's what Annie and I are going to do - travel. All. Over. The. World. That's if I win, of course, so the greatest likelyhood is an occasional trip here or there, in the States, and maybe western Europe. Anyway, it's ME that loves the travel, just not the packing. That's usually Annie's thing. She thrives on the packing and the planning and the picking up this and finding that that has to happen before the trip starts. Well, this is one trip where SWMBO is staying home. This is OUR trip - mine and Zach's, even though my part of the trip was a surprise - a gift from SWMBO in a moment of loving generosity. (For the uninitiated, SWMBO is She Who Must Be Obeyed - and there is a previous post that explains it) And she doesn't think I've started packing soon enough (I'll start tomorrow night) and I've let some things go 'to the last minute'. Like getting my prepaid cell phone for use over there. It came today. I'll get it unlocked tomorrow so I can get a SIM card while in England. SWMBO seems to think all of this should have been taken care of a month ago. So, let's just say she's been a bit antsy lately. Her favorite phrase has been "I told you so" for the last week.

Today I called #2 son (Alex) and asked him to drive Zach and me to the airport on Saturday. Annie and I have agreed to kiss goodbye at the house. Her idea, not mine. She is so good. She is so smart. She knows one of us would not survive the trip to the airport if she went with.

Once again, you guys are too sweet! Its so nice to see the way you guys take care of each other.

I'm sure you'll have a lovely trip with Zach (the cutie patootie) and will still manage to call home everyday and talk all lovey dovey to SWMBO (I love saying swimbo hehe)

Have fun Lou and don't let the packing and organising get to you :)

Annie is awesome. And I agree with her. It is so frustrating when MPS leaves things to the last minute!

Have a wonderful trip :)

I really hope that you guys have an amazing trip. And take lots of pictures!!

So far I've been keeping up with my challenge. Which, in turn, has cut into my blogging time. I think I'll survive though. ;)

You and Annie are so sweet :) I'm so excited for you and Zach! But like you, I don't know if I could last the car ride to the airport if hubby wasn't coming. Get plenty of prepaid minutes! :)
