Nice! When I was a teenager I played a lot baseball. A good friend that I played with suggested that we manage a class C knot-hole baseball team when we where in the 10th grade. We did for 3 seasons before we went to college. He was a walk-on at Miami University in the early '60's and played for them for 3 years. Spring is just around the corner and I still have my Wilson mitt.
As for your comment about the me first generation, in my opinion it is worse than that.

Rebecca: In this context, this one is more about my anticipation of the coming season than it is his of the coming ball.
Jenty: Thanks for coming by and commenting. When this picture was taken, Jack had just gotten down to receive the ball for the very first time.
moneythoughts: I love baseball too. But, living in Chicago, we played 16 inch slow pitch softball, which is rarely played in the rest of the country.

I, like the others love this photo. But it says something so much more to me. It is so 'American'. This is a sight I would never see in Australia. It would be cricket!
