SNOW DAY

It's Friday, it's NOT payday and it's deeper than poop out there. I have never seen this much snow on my driveway in the 18 years we've lived in this house. And I ain't goin' nowhere. First of all, I got a call at 6 this morning from IMSA, where Zach goes to school, announcing that they have a SNOW DAY. And for those of you that don't know, IMSA is a residential school - Zach lives in a dorm room on campus. Unfortunately, the teachers aren't afforded the same luxury. Thus the SNOW DAY. Of course, I knew last night, when it took me 3.5 HOURS to drive home from work, that it was going to be tough traveling today. But, just in case, I waited until this morning to make up my mind - but like I said - I AIN'T GOIN' NOWHERE. I have a 43 mile commute - I would get there about the time I would be scheduled to go home.

So. I get to play with my 2 month old snow blower (5HP, 2 stage monster) and when I'm done with that, I'm going to finish my painting. Today. I have made up my mind.
But right now I need some coffee. Later.

UPDATE: Please notice the 'Slideshow' in the sidebar on the left. I have added this page element as part of an effort, on my part, to focus more on 'Art' in this blog - to make this more of a day by day diary of a fledgling artist. I read people like Sandy and Lotus and Siobhan and Veronica - and I realize that I don't have the same kind of 'blogging' in me, and yet, their type of blogging is what I would otherwise aspire to. I love to comment - I will continue, obviously, to make the witty, pithy and sometimes obscene comments for which I am noted. I mean, I am noted for that stuff, right?
