Almost done

I have been working at putting a finish to my first painting. It has been fairly frustrating - due to interruptions that keep happening. I had thought to have it done today, but now it's apparent that I won't be able to finish until tomorrow. So I've put the brushes in water (to prevent drying out) and tomorrow it will be. I'll post the finished piece when it's done.

And now for something completely different...

Two of the nicest people have a new home in their immediate future. Sandy at Momisodes and Veronica at Sleepless Nights are both anticipating new homes. Sandy will be moving into hers in about two weeks and Veronica has just gotten 'wholly approved', so her move is a bit more distant in time. I haven't worked out the mechanics of this yet, but I am proposing a 'world wide toast' for these two lovely young women on the day they move into their homes. Sandy will be first. And then Veronica. Sometime soon, as soon as we know WHEN Sandy is moving in, I am going to guest blog on Sarcastic Mom, the home of the Lovely and Gracious Lotus Carroll, and in that guest post I am going to announce, to her rather large audience, this proposal. Like I said, I haven't worked out the mechanics of this idea, yet, but when I do, you will be asked to raise a glass of your favorite libation - beer, wine, water, pop, coffee, tea - you name it (it is, after all, your toast) and to do so in honor of their taking possession of their new home.
