Monday Meanders 12-6

Bears win!! Detroit played well - they're the best 2 and 10 team EVER. This time it was Defense which was spotty. They gave up over 200 yards in the 1st half. Fortunately, they toughened up in the second half - and held Detroit to less than 50 yards for the half.

I am halfway through an interesting book - "The Fig Eater" by a new author, Jody Shields. It's her first novel - and it's very well done. The story is set in 1910 Vienna, Austria, and it involves a murder and the solving of that murder. Like I said - it's very well done.

Christmas shopping is done - although I still have to get my Christmas Card for Avitable. It's very difficult to find wittily pornographic Christmas Cards.

It snowed over the weekend. And today and tomorrow are supposed to be COLD. Why do I NOT live in Florida? I shoveled in spite of objections from the women in the house. It felt good to work up a sweat. And I lived through the experience.

Ndinombethe.

It has snowed here in Belgium as well. The past week and the weekend were very cold. I still need to do my Christmas shopping. Part of it I'm going to do in London, as I'm making a little two day trip to London with my daughter. I'm very much looking forward to that!

I haven't started shopping yet. Isn't that horrible?! And... my husband is talking about flying us all to Aruba on Christmas Eve. That means I need to tell Santa to send our gifts there. Yikes.

Always a good thing to live through the shoveling.

The Fig Eater, huh? That's an interesting title. I'll have to check it out. Books are not catching my attention lately-which is strange. Maybe this'll be the one. :)

I thought of you the other day-I had to wear my hat. :)

Witty and pornographic don't generally go together.

It snowed for three days here, with temps in the 20s. And so it starts.

Counting the days...
