Monday Meanders 7-26

And things just keep on rolling along ....

Grannie is still in the Skilled Nursing Center - we ought to know what the re-scheduled date for surgery is sometime today. She wasn't feeling well yesterday - headache. #3 Son and I went to see her - that made her feel some better.

I subscribe to a magazine called "International Artist". It is an inspirational periodical - I just wish it was monthly rather than 6 per year. I just got the new issue and some of the stuff in there is just amazing. 'Still Life' paintings by Nicole Klassen that will knock your socks off. Stunning acrylics by Mark Hobson of seascapes and seaside scenes, quiet harbors and fishing boats. And each article is an art lesson in and of itself.

#2 Son came by yesterday and we went to Home Depot to buy a replacement circuit breaker box for the house. We will be offline for half a day this coming weekend. I don't know if I'll survive it.

Does yardwork EVER stop? I think I'm going to watch for some AstroTurf on eBay. Just turf over the back yard and plant some plastic flowers and I'm done.

The more I think about that the better I like it.

Ndinombethe.

Plastic flowers are de rigor in caravan parks here in Oz.
Apparently.

Or, you concrete the yard and PAINT it green. Awesome for skateboarding!

It always seems that way, inspiration tomes are far between. I hope Grannies surgery is scheduled soon with no further complications. (Hugs)Indigo

I don't know Lou! Astroturf might be a little much.... could you handle all that plastic? : ) If anyone could make it classy though, it's you!

Praying for Grannie!

I've seen houses in Florida with green cement for a front yard. Very low maintenance. You could try that. But you'd have to get a pink plastic flamingo to go with it, of course, or it just wouldn't work.

I have seen people do that with their yards, lol. I couldn't survive a day offline either and in a couple of weeks I will have a whole weekend off grid - whatever will I do?! lol
