That's where I was, yesterday afternoon. At OZ Park, in Chicago. A Pre-BlogHer meetup.
I was ill prepared for the meetup. Oh, I had a cooler with edibles (the grapes were well received) and my camera. But I suddenly realized I was in no position to record the names and blog addresses of those whose pictures I was taking. Phooey.
BUT! The important thing is that I was there. I met up with a former TV producer who is now a world traveler, a TV star, Employee 3699 and her better half, and Denise and Jamie and several other people whose names escape me but I have their images trapped in my camera. I will email them to denise @ blogher as soon as I dump my memory card. Perhaps she can put names to the faces.
It was really nice meeting those people. I look forward to July, and being able to meet so many more. Some I know from here, on my blog. Some, I'm sure, I haven't met yet. I'll make some new friends - hopefully not losing any old ones in the process.

Can you tell us more about this meet up in July? What are the requirements to show up?
what's pre-blogher???
I got your message - at the same time I was taking in another foster ( on a temp) basis - but if I had known about that meet up I for sure would a made it - since after all it is easily accessible and well - I live here!

Hey Lou, it was nice, wasn't it? Well, except for the traffic. I'm looking forward to July also.
Oh, and if you look on the BlogHer website, Denise already posted some pictures and videos.
So I take it Blogher is not about "her" so much?
I am terrible with remembering names. I stopped asking for them but I keep taking pictures.
It makes me wish I was going to the BlogHer convention in July, just to meet meet and some of my other favorite bloggers.

That's wonderful! We had a similar pre-BlogHer event this past weekend in Boston as well. It was a blast! Only I had the opposite problem. I brought my camera and never used it!

very cool!! :) i'd love to meet some blogger people... well actually a lot of blogger people, but there is a slim to ZERO chance of me getting to go to blogher. so i guess i'll just keep wishing, wanting and waiting. maybe next year...
