-or-

A ROUGH DAY AT THE OFFICE

Tash(lawyer #1), Lawyer #2, Paul(client), and Lawyer #3

NAN'S ART

This lovely work graces the wall at the foot of the driveway to a residence in the Maraval Valley. It is made up of 60, 6x6 inch ceramic tiles. Each is unique.

That art work is amazing!!!
No better way to do business I think than an office in a boat in the sun!

See? THIS is why I love lawyers and want to be one. They might work hard and crazy hours, but they know how to LIVE. They know how to kick back and still rack in the billable hours. LOVE IT.

Great pics Lou! That was "pro bono" work by the way so technically it was cutting into my liming time :)

The first pic is actually Nan on the left in the hat and Patrice on the right Lou.

We got dumped on again last night with more snow, so looking at your pictures reminds me that the really smart people live where it is warm, beautiful and sunny. If I had to do it all over again, the first thing I would have done is go south or southwest.

Wish my work days were rounded around an office of that nature, LOL.

Man, I think I'd love work a whole lot more if it was anything like that :)

Nan's art tiles are gorgeous! An image of paradise.

Oh my God, I'm just going to close my eyes and imagine I'm there...

Farewell freezing windy weather, hello sunny days on the water...

Hey, blogger ate my comment...

Well, I wanted to share the fact that when you rearrange the letters in the word *escape* you get *peace*. I believe you found peace in an escape (from this awful winter).

What a gorgeous place.

Although my dream version of a rough day at the office would involve pajama pants rather than swimsuits, I think. I think a big part of that, though, is that I very very much prefer a cold climate to a hot one. (The move from Tucson to Anchorage proved that...)

Still don't want to be a lawyer.

my husband, an attorney, would love to do business that way!

Jientje: Nan's art is just incredibly beautiful stuff.

Huckdoll: And they get a tan at the same time.

Suzanne: Yes, they are and no, I couldn't think of a better way to do business.

Shadow: When you do, you be sure to let me know - or at least send pictures.

Witchypoo: My son was SO proud of me - I didn't make ONE off-color remark the whole weekend. (It's hard to talk through a mouthful of rum.)

M+B: I don't blame you - not one bit.

Tash: I corrected the post info - and yes, you were getting seriously behind on the drinking thing.

Moneythoughts: You're right, Sir. South.

Eric S: Oh man, me too.

Momisodes: She is SO good. It's a shame she's closing up shop.

Nicole: It is just that - a great place to be.

Employee: Yeah, me too. And I have a couple of her ceramics in my possession.

Cat: Yeah - it's all of the other costs that add up - gas, plane fare, food, etc.

Calicobebop: Hey!! Wait for me ....

Jibber Jabber: Yes, a lot of peace. And rum!

Hockeychic: Oh, you are so very welcome.

AFF: We all could, I think. I wanna go back.

Maggie's Mind: It is so. beautiful.

Hyphen Mama: Not quite ALL the luck - but some of it, anyway.

Julie: Me? I find, as I get older, I'd rather be warm than cold.

Loraine: yeah. I like that office design, as well.

Cathy: Me too, and I'm a computer guy.
