Jeanette is speaking, occasionally, and lucid most of the time. She has lost feeling and movement in the extremities on her right side. She is alive. It looks as though she will survive. A whole new set of questions now presents itself.
This is the first Thursday in a long time that I haven't published some fiction. That I haven't regaled you with an episode of 'The Kid'. I am working on the new story. I am kind of stuck, at the moment, because the story is growing in my head faster than I can get it down and there's a confusion, in my mind at the moment, as to which tack I should take in the story. So I'm just going to sit back andlet it play itself out in my head, and once I see the direction, clearly, I'll start knocking it out, again. This story is going to be huge. As in several hundred thousand words huge. A book. Presentation here is going to be a problem. I'm 2500 words into the 1st chapter and I haven't even finished the first scene yet. Of course, the beginning of the book has to set up a lot of the rest of the book, so there's a lot of dressing to go with the meat of the story. And that dressing has to be consistent through the whole story, so it needs to be carefully thought out.
And yes, it is fun.
Things promise to be a bit hectic around here for a while. You'll have to forgive me should I not get around to eveybody's blogs over the next few days - or should I not have the time to stop and comment when I do breeze through. I am so humbled by the thoughts expressed here, yesterday. I can't tell you how much your thoughts and prayers mean to Annie and me. Thank you all, so much.
And once again - Yes, I'm going to get all oogey and say it again (Yes, it's a word I just made up) - I want to say, I love you all. Each and every one.
Peace.

Thank God, she's still alive, and lucid. She does look like a very strong lady.
Of course we're looking forward to read the new story, but take your time, you need to get it right from the beginning, that's very important.
We'll wait ...
As for commenting and visiting, I forgive you. I was going to say "we" but I realized I have to speak for myself. Although I'm sure your other readers agree ...
i love you too! and hugs and love to jeanette also.
Oogey is good.
I'm so pleased Jeanette has weathered the storm fairly well.

xx
I just caught up. And I am glad I got here today and not yesterday because yesterdays post made me cry. I hope that Jeanette is comfortable and makes further progress. Strokes suck. I nursed my Nanna through her last one.
<3 Lou.
I am glad to hear she is doing all right. Most importantly, be there for your friends - were not going anywhere so take a break.
One day at a time Lou... Much love to Annie.
One chapter at a time... the book will unfold.
Peace to you too
As we say, "you have a lot on your plate." Take it easy on yourself and don't stress out. I'll be here when you get it on "paper." Hope things continue to improve.
I'm glad Jeanette is doing better. I know your book will be worth the wait...so I'll wait.
Take care, Lou~
My father had a stroke when I was in first grade, he was paralyzed on his right side and gradually most of it came back. I hope that is how it will be for Jeanette. I hope she is comfortable and not in any pain.
I agree - oogey is good. :)
I'm glad there is some progress with Jeanette. And we love you, too!
My thoughts are with you.
Now probably isn't the best time, but I tagged you for a meme in my blog. If you get around to it - that's great. If not, I totally understand.
Take care, be well!
Hugs to both you and Annie.
I'm so glad she survived! Yes....some new challenges.
Gives me pause, thinking of how many of us meet some similar fate if we live long enough.
I'll never forgive you if you don't come to my blog at least twice a day.
You know how strict I am.
Seriously, take it easy, concentrate on the new baby (book).
Lou, don't you dare apologize for not getting around to blogs. Trust me, life happens. I am in the middle of a creative project and I have all but given up on giving comments, but I did want to stop here to let you know I'm still in with being a reader. And, still so honored.
Peace
I'm glad the new today was good. I pray that it will continue to be good new. I wish there was more I could. Hugs all around for the family. (((hug)))
So the story is being cultivated --I'm glad you are giving it time to grow and mature before you write. We'll get a richer story because of it I'm sure.
Thank you so much for posting an update. I was actually thinking of her all afternoon. So glad to hear she's pulling through.
Sounds like you have quite a piece in the works there. Not to worry, we'll be here when you're ready :)
Big *hugs* to you and your family again. Wishing Jeannette a smooth recovery.
That's a relief to know Jeannette has survived. I hope your family will get good medical advice and know how to proceed with caring for her. She looks like such a sweet woman.
My thoughts are with you and yours, and I hope that some of the answers come easy to the new set of questions.
That is good news about Jeanette. I hope she continues to recover and rtow stronger every day.
Lou take care of whats important, then you can whack out the story at your leisure.
My mother had a stroke 2 years ago, and is almost completely back to normal. They have great therapy these days.
Make sure you take care of yourself also. With everything you have going on it would be easy to forget that.

Wednesday's post made it sound pretty dire. Instead, it sounds like Jeanette is a fighter and will get through this.
Prayers to you and yours.
Glad to hear that things are looking up.
Lou, you might want to consider buying some software that will help you with your story. There is all types of novel/short story software that will help you with keep the storyline between characters straight. And will help you more fully develop your characters themselves.
Just a thought.
Lou, I am sorry I haven't been around, life has been a little hectic as of late. I am so sorry to read about Jeanette, but glad she is doing OK.
I just had a thought about your writing. You should enter NaNoWriMo -- where you write a novel in the month of November. They have prizes too. It's not too late to sign up! Check it out.
Also, if you enter, you could post updates on here and password protect them...worth a thought, right?
