On Friday nights my schedule gets a little unpredictable. I can see it's going to be difficult to maintain my publishing habit of 12:01AM on Fridays - well, Saturday, actually. We'll just have to see how it all works out.
At the moment, SWMBO is in bed, asleep, where I should be also. But I'm downstairs on the kitchen computer knocking out this quick post. I had nothing in my head earlier - and so went to bed on an empty blog. And it kept me up. Well, actually, there's a couple of things that may be keeping me up, but the blog is definitely one of them.
Anyway, I need an idea for a new story. I'm having a difficult time with this. I may have to wrap myself up in some serious music this weekend to try to contact my muse and find my story. I'll give that a try - but any one of you who might want to toss an idea out there is more than welcome to do so.
Tuesday is Part 11. The last of The Kid. And Thursday is the 'Epilogue'. Don't miss the epilogue. It's going to be fun.

Don't worry about 12.01 posting, that's one of your own rules but we can wait longer, if needed?
Our muzes are going out together I suspect: mine left me blank too yesterday!
I'll ask mine if I see her.
I hope she comes back to me real soon!
If you're really not ready to part with the Kid yet, you could take him through the afterlife, maybe, and find him some redemption by helping others? Even one or two special "others"?
I hope things aren't that unsettling at work. As for your blog, your readers like you being you. They love your personality and give you a wide berth with open minds. Hope you have a good weekend.
I hope your muse comes calling. Mine is obviously mad at me and has moved on to greener pastures, because I'm not feeling it either.
12:01 A.M. is when I do my best thinking!
A muse, we are supposed to have a Muse? Why haven't I heard of this?
Lou, I haven't been around as long as many who read you, but I know you have things to say and stories to write. I think the story will come but not while you are worrying about it. Maybe you will just have to step away for a bit. Let the story of The Kid be over a bit. I'll wait. :)
I told you before - chill :)
We will still love you!
And hey, I kept creating Greeting & Postcards in my dreams, and plurking at the Side ;)
Hugs!
I'm so glad to hear you're thinking about another story! :-) Meanwhile, I know and trust that the best things in life are worth waiting for, so whether the idea comes today, tomorrow or a month from now, I (and your other readers) will wait.
What's the serious music, Lou? And get some rest.
Do you like to write with music playing, waiting for your new one
Z17 was looking for an idea for a story for English Writing a few months ago.
We have an 'eventful' evening listening to my step father crap on about his will through the thin walls of their shack one night.
This prompted a whole, long story written as if my SF had written it - which I suggested Z17 write in blog form (just to be different). It is so funny!!!
Some of it is 'you had to be there' humour - but he's captured his personality so well, and exaggerated it.
I'm going to ask him if I can publish it as a blog - I thought he may have scored extra points for creativity if he'd submitted it in blog form - but he was all "Naaah".
Maybe you have a funny (not necessarily in the ha ha way) family member or friend you could base the story on? Long as they don't read your blog!!

Jientje: Perhaps our muses are sharing a bottle of Rum somewhere.
witchypoo: His afterlife is called for already - as part of David's Past Lives.
moneythoughts: Thank you, Fred. I am having a good weekend.
Lola: I think all of the muses must be off having a party someplace.
Patsy: I'm sure that's exactly the way it will happen.
Nicole: You're going to make me start daydreaming about those HUGS, aren't you?
Joyce-Anne: Thank you. I'm hoping not to try your patience.
aye wonder: I am resting, Mike. Things have settled at work and I am refusing to do ANY yardwork this weekend.
Michael: Yes, I use music to set the mood - and contact my muse.
myst_72: I don't have any funny famaily members. We're a rather somber bunch.
Well I have an idea: What about a ‘who done it murder” mystery?
I’ll even give you the murder scene: There’s 2 victims: A police detective and an Internet gaming boy. They’re found in the vacation cabin owned by a wealthy Mormon family in Utah. As far as they can tell, the two didn’t even know each other nor the Mormons! One has his head cut off. (And they can’t find the head!) The other is hanging from the antlers of a large deer head over a massive fireplace. Who done it?
Vikki
I write in silence. Perhaps I should try and play some music. :)
I wish I had an idea for you Lou, but I have been blank lately. I like Vikki's idea though.
Lou ~ my step father is anything but funny, he's a sexist/racist pig who has illusions of himself as somewhat better than everyone else on the planet, throw in some obsession for cheese and we had ourselves a story - Zach captured this perfectly, and made it funny!

Currently playing: Night Shift by the Commodores. Always loved that one.
You need to give yourself a break. WE'LL BE HERE when you get time.
Stories I'd like to read: The story of how you fell in-love with Annie and why her dad didn't beat you up =). Also, when/how you decided not to become an actor (I think you've touched on this, I can't find that post, though).
I had to chime in and say I find myself downstairs in the kitchen as well blogging at night :)
A new story huh?!
