Cubs lost yesterday, but the good news is the 5 shutout innings that Travis Wood started the game with. It was minor league pitchers, subsequent to Woods' excellent outing, that gave it up.
Kris Bryant hit two home ruins on Saturday, giving him 8 "official" round trippers. He also has one in a "B" game from earlier in the week. 9. That's more home runs than the whole Diamondbacks' team has hit in their 10 games.
I attended a friend's birthday party yesterday. I am reminded, yet again, that life goes by too quickly and being alone sucks.
Today begins the second week on my new job. I like it. A lot. Today, however, is to be cold. We'll see.

...hope you dress warmly... I have to admit to not caring for the cold air on my face... I have several half-face masks to wear... jersey type gloves often are more than sufficient to keep my hands warm...
