Monday Meanders

Cubs open the season today at Pittsburgh.  Sox open their season at home, today.  This is the time of year when hope springs eternal.  Well, maybe not eternal.  For Cubs fans, it may last about three weeks.  Maybe.

This goes under "Things I Think About".  Physicists are forever puzzled by Gravity.  There has never been any particle found that would carry the force - no quantum graviton.  But what if they have and it just hasn't been recognized as such?  What if the newly discovered Higgs Boson is actually a 'flow' of particles established by the presence of particles, the flow of Higss TO the particles establishing mass.  Then, as the Higgs encounters the particle, it evaporates and becomes, essentially, Dark Energy, the very stuff causing the acceleration of the expansion of the Universe. The ultimate irony is that the very presence of matter in the Universe will lead to its eventual destruction.

Just a thought.

And another thought ...

There was an earthquake in Yellowstone, yesterday, that measured 4.2 on the Richter Scale.  It's a game changer if that thing blows.

Yesterday was the first really nice day this year.  Snow was gone, the sun felt hot on my back and head and I even got the Coot Scoot out for a spin.  I want to get the motorcycle out but I have to make some adjustments yet before I can get totally comfortable on the bike.  The left foot peg and the shifter need to be adjusted so that I have firm control and easy shifting.

There were two wheelers EVERYWHERE yesterday.  So glad to see it.

Ndinombethe, ubuntu.
