100 Word Challenge - Tea

What follows is offered in response to Velvet Verbosity's 100 Word Challenge. The challenge, this week, is "Tea".

100 Word Challenge
Emily Piersall, 86 years old and the landlady of the building, lay on her kitchen table with her arms out in front of her, face down in the bowl of chicken soup.  The teacup had been knocked over, spilling Earl Grey Tea across the table, dripping to the floor.

Lieutenant Carson wrote the things he could see in his little black notebook, old fashioned as he was.  No iPad for him.

"CSI is here, Lieutenant.  They want to know if they can start."

"Not yet, Officer.  I'm not done, yet ."

"But, Sir ..."

"Not for all the tea in china, Officer."

Ndinombethe, ubuntu.

So much going on here, I love it. The little details - the soup, the tea - make me want to know even more.
