What follows is offered in response to Velvet Verbosity's 100 Word Challenge. The challenge, this week, is "Pacing".
Jeremy and Christian were competitive since they were old enough to know what brothers were. They constantly tried to "game" each other - to "one up" each other - even though they truly loved each other as only brothers can.
"I have a girl, Jeremy. I want you to promise to stay away."
"No problem, Bro. If that's what you want, that's the way it will be. As soon as ..."
"As soon as what, Jeremy?"
"As she comes back."
"From where? If this is another one of your underhanded tricks ..."
"She thinks you're rehabbing in Nova Scotia."
"Jeremy, you are a dick. I'm telling Mom."

Christian needs to find smarter girlfriends..!
Interesting name choice...'Christian' is the first name of the "Shades of Grey" cat... I think that 'Jeremy' would be a fine name for his brother...
...did you know that "...Grey" is fan fiction..? From the Twilight storyline... I wonder if there is any "...of Grey" fan fiction... perhaps I should consult with 'Jeremy'..!
Oh the joys of sibling rivalry. There are some things I don't miss.
Hahaha! I missed the fun of sibling rivalry as my siblings were 9 and 12 years younger than I. Have a feeling I missed out on a whole boatload of story material.
